I learned sight-reading and composition online at a time when there were no ads to support the kind people who shared their knowledge. Music production would never be an option in a public college to study in my country. I would never disrespect the poor musician who needs warez to access what is otherwise an impossible-to-achieve set of skills. Hey, I paid for them I want to get the most juice out of them, right? You get what I mean. Investing in the ware I use means valuing those tools and giving them fair use until I get to master them. On the other hand, it is a matter of self-respect and the ying-yang balance of life if you wish. It keeps them on their toes, giving their best. It also weeds out the mediocre and lousy developers.
